Python Programming for the Advanced Student or Python Professional

Python is a popular interpreted programming language used by many large companies - Google, O'Reilly, YouTube, Yahoo, CERN, and NASA to name a few. Python is fast and has numerous libraries and modules you can use to accomplish just about anything.

This class builds on the student's existing Python knowledge, incorporating further object oriented design principles and techniques with the intention of rounding out their skill set. Techniques like recursion, composition and delegation are explained and put into practice through the ever-present test-driven practical work. By the end of the course the student has written a multi-processing solution to a significant data processing problem.

Upon completion of the course, you'll earn 4 CEUs (Continuing Education Units) and a CEU letter from the University of Illinois Office of Continuing Education. This is the fourth course in the Python Programming Certificate series.
