Database Administration Certificate
The Database Administration Certificate series is comprised of four courses covering the core technical and theoretical skills necessary for a complete understanding of database administration using the popular open-source technologies MySQL, Talend Open Studio, and Mondrian. These courses are coached and facilitated by OST's informed and friendly instructors.
DBA 1 covers advanced database topics such as stored procedures, views, and pivots. DBA 2 covers common database administration tasks such as user management, security, backups and restores. DBA 3 builds on the first two courses - in it students design and implement a relational data warehouse. In DBA 4, students take the relational data warehouse and learn how to build and query a multidimensional data warehouse.

Completion of the 4-course series earns students a Certificate of Professional Development from the University of Illinois. All courses are certified by the University of Illinois Department of Computer Science, and students receive Continuing Education Credits upon completion of each course in the series.
